Modded ZL1 1LEs

Just curious how many people ran their 1LEs (A10) in the 1/4 or know people that have. Stock or even modded.

I know the 1LE is not a ideal 1/4 mile car compared to the standard ZL1. But what’s some of the fastest times you have ran or know off.

That's an understatement - very little weight transfer.

You see 0-60 tests with people bagging on the ZLE relative to competitors but it was never designed for that

I get it, believe me. I’m just curious to see what others have ran in these cars. Currently helping a friend build his, and he’s aware mod fo mod it won’t be as fast as mine in straight line. But what curios to what others have gone.

We know there's a few guys running 8s and 9s in ZL1 (not sure if any 1LE) and I would be interested to find out about their suspension and weight mods.

For example, what did this guy, Justin at Killer Performance KC, do to get the car to pull the wheels
https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/...s-9-5-seconds/

And, no, I won't do a roll cage.

I’m pretty familiar with that Justin (stangkilrs) car. I have been told to go home after a pass on a few tracks because I won’t add a cage either.

Have you ever ran your car? Looks tastefully modded. 1/4 or 60-130 pulls.

I will eventually take mine to a dragstrip...I feel it would run 11.1 or so.

I made one run with the Phase I version at a test and tune with no track prep using 3Rs and with no real clue as to how to minimize tire spin and it ran 10.5something at 8500 ft. DA. I'll need a true drag tire and a lot more practice.

But mainly 40/60-150 pulls.

This man speaks the truth about how much harder it is to launch and how much slower the manuals are now.
