Oil filter Numbers

Anyone bought oil filters lately ? Numbers on box does not match the one on the filters, these are from Rock Auto but a dealer here in Norway who stocks them say their inventory is the same 🤔

That number 19433934 is actually PF48E.
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...99#post8281699

This is the new "E-Core" design oil filter and is slightly shorter in overall length than the PF48. The E-Core design has the same amount oil filter media and better filtration than the previous filter.

The Ultraguard UPF48R filter (U is for Ultra and R is for Racing) is black in color, has a thicker exterior shell.
The internal components are the same in both the UPF48R and the PF48 oil filters. The UPF48R can be used in applications where the PF48 is specified.

Btw. "GM requires the UPF48R for the LS9 application and is also used for the LS7 application as both engines are built at GM’s
Wixom Engine Performance Build Center."

Sounds like they cheaped out and used the old packaging on new the new filters.

They should have at least put a sticker on the box or a small note/disclaimer inside.

The beauty of the internet is that it allows you to check applications on line so you can make sure it is right.

I purchased one and it looked just like the one you got, So I ordered another from somewhere else and it is like that one as well, Mine were always Black and Gold and came in a matching box, I thought the first was a knock off but then the I got the second just like it.
