Launch Control Doesn't Work

And by doesn't work I mean the system simply won't engage. I put it in track mode, stabilitrak, etc and it shows me "apply brake." At this point, when you apply the brake it's supposed to show the bar filling up, similar to line lock, but this doesn't happen at all.

Anyone else experience this? Is there a solution other than taking it to the dealer?

how hard are you applying the brake? you have to apply it *hard*, like almost standing on it (at least that's what I had to do in my 17 ss and 18 zl1)

Don't apply your brake, stomp your brake, and try again.

It works in my '19. but the bar doesn't fill. Just push the brake to the floor hard, then stab the throttle to the floor. it will hold rpm's about 2k unless you adjust it.

Thank you, I'll try that...strange that the bar wouldn't fill up like I've seen on videos.

I was applying it pretty d@mn hard. If it works without the bar filling up, that would explain it.

I thought mine didn't work either and felt I was pressing very hard on the brake but take above advice and stomp on the brake.

I thought the same thing on my 2020 2SS... The bar does NOT fill up on launch control (you would think it should by the way it looks, but it doesn't).

Step on the brakes like a panic stop then jam the throttle hard (my first couple tries I eased in the throttle and it didn't work, way exceeded 2000 RPM). You have to stab the throttle to the floor and it will work, let it stabilizer at 2000 and quickly release the brakes and hang on!

I have to admit I made a pretty stupid mistake the first time I tried line lock. The car was in Park. I was stomping the crap out of the brake trying to figure out why it wouldn't engage.

Hey 2SS Capt, would you know if the base LT1 has this option as the car has no track mode?

Never thought about it until now but do the manual trans cars have launch control also?
