MAGG Performance Iroc-Z Hood
I posted in the convertible section, but figured I should post here also. I am really happy with the way it came out.
MAGG performance got things turned around really quickly and got it shipped. The car has been sitting while waiting to get the paint job scheduled. I will tell you that the hood is not a simple prime and paint...we had some cleanup to get done, but love the way the car looks. My favorite part of the hood is the cowl as now the supercharger is audible and I absolutely love it.

Drsagacity,
Looks awesome and I just wanted to chime I for two things. I got my hood from MAGG performance as well (and I would recomend to go through them only if you want anything since I had nothing but pro lem with that dumbass Mark) . But anyways more importantly.. 1. Like you said it was not a simple prime and paint like you also said. My body guy was a friend so he did the hood for free for me and said the amount of filling and sanding on this hood, if it didn't look so good it wouldn't have been worth it. He said it was o e of the sh@ttiest hoods he has ever worked on. And 2. For you I went to home depot and bought some gutter guards and my buddy molded them into my opening. I think it made a huge difference in looks (not sure how you feel about) and I just wanted to show you how it looks. I like how it doesn't look like a bunch of big holes in the hood any more. And I thin they were $6 a section and I bought 5 sections. But congrats on the hood, looks awesome, and I know people all over town are talking about my car from shop owners I know telling me a out it. Hopefully you're getting the same reaction. I'll try to get better pictures later today at home from the windshield side |

I will get some pics later today (I'm at work for another 2 hours) but he actually fiberglassed them in since he was doing so much fiberglass filling on the top of the hood
My hood so many waves in the cowl it was sick. He worked on that hood for almost 2 weeks a few hours at a time after work |

Hey guys sorry I took so long, we got about 8" snow I had to deal with. So like said he glassed them in, but he said it's more than just gassing them in he had to mold them in some how. (no idea not a body guy at all). Sorry for the crappy pictures but it's in the garage with crappy lights and getting dark out already. I'll try to get some on a nice day where I can get her on the driveway.
Please don't judge the dirt, she hibernates from November to March 😭 |

On a side note from all of this, I just installed my hood. That was a huge pain in the ass to align it. I wouldn’t even go so far to say that the alignment of the hood currently is very good but, it’s on there nonetheless. Did you guys install your own hood? How was your alignment process? My passenger side of the hood just won’t sit quite flush. The bumpers on that side are all the way down, too.
I’m getting it wrapped satin black on Wednesday. The finish of the hood leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t suggest anyone leave it as it comes from the vendor.

I didn't put mine on because I had the car ceramic coated when I got the hood. So he did everything

Hey StPeteHyper2.0, is your center part painted or wrapped? I'm thinking about getting my center part wrapped in matte black but not sure if it would stick without an edge to wrap over or around. I don't know how that stuff works yet. |
