I swap out my factory stock tires & wheels for M/T drag radials mounted on an extra set of stock wheels when I hit the drag strip.

Did you ever hit the drag strip with them? I have heard they are good on the street and not so good on the strip. We are at the same power level so that's really good info.

That was my plan too, but would prefer to just get the tires and use them street or strip. I don't drive enough to be swapping them out.

Exactly @oldman. I have the same thing around me. . .right now, stop light to stop light, I have to smile and wave because I know from a dig I would get stomped by my wife's SUV with the current tires. :-)

I do think the R888R's might be the best path for the street and then get a dedicated wheel/tire for the strip. I had planned to simply get the MT's and be done with it, but the feedback I have seen for the Nitto 555R has been really positive, so I might give that a shot first.

BTW - I am in Austin (Round Rock) several times a year since our corporate office is there. We may need to catch up when I am in town.
