JRE Super Street Brawler A8 - 12psi 761whp/735wtq e70

I am starting a new thread for conversation or discussion related to the changes I have made. I figure that a bunch of people are considering their build options so I wanted to lay out what I have done and the results to date.

Let me start by saying Ted Jannetty has been incredible. Every time I sent a log file, he had updated tunes turned around ASAP. I was a little scared about remote tuning because I had a previous experience with another tuner and it was a complete nightmare. With Ted...It could not have gone any smoother!

Ran by the dyno so we could get a good pull. There is probably more in it because right as the car is building max power, it looks like the converter locks or something and timing gets pulled. You can see the dip on the dyno below.

Updated Changes to the vert

We started with 8psi for 700whp with the 85mm pulley.

We changed to the 80mm pulley and saw 10psi, but did not go to the dyno (logged on the street)

We then swapped with the 75mm pulley for 12psi.

Where I live the e85 pump is really e70 so testing from 8-12psi has all been at that level.

Next step is to get to the track and get some runs to get everything finalized, but I think based on what we are seeing, we could be the first vert to run in the 9's.

Thank you sir.

I think we had discussed the fuel system before and based on what we are seeing, the current fuel system with the LT4 in tank + BAP, plus the LT4 HPFP will not have any problems cracking 800whp.

I know I had a converter lockup or something at the end of my run, but based on what I am seeing with HP Tuner my wheel HP should actually be about 770. I don't really know if it's the converter or what causing that dip...regardless, I am not going for a dyno number...more interested in finding a way to get a 9second time slip.

I guess I'm driving it down the track before long. Its heavier then my 10.03 1ss, but 50 more rwhp might just get it close to the 9 second pass with my drag pack on it. So, I'll be heading to Stl before long to see what we can get out of it. Should have cool air till the end of October so our chances are pretty good that we'll get close. Great number Russ and Ted.

I plan on getting DR's for the replacement tires...so that in the future, I will run it just like I drive it on the street...but for one pass. #BonsaiRUN

I'll be watching the weather for a Wednesday Night Delight and balls to the wall as long as they'll let us run the Vert. His car will be the fastest Vert on the fast list if I have anything to do about it. That vert is my bitch now, she's gonna get punished and love every pass down the track.

Bam...if we need to add a race fuel tune and up the boost...so be it.

I was hoping to be the first vert to get in the 9's. If Laynlo is doubting we can make it, maybe we need to add some race fuel and bump the boost.

We could easily add a few more pounds of boost and be in the 800's...

It just doesn't make sense for the street because the current setup is scary at times. I definitely need more seat time because with this much power it is easy to lose control.

I'm not doubting we can, just might have a little too much weight on the car. However you could do what you told me on the phone. Might just be enough to get us there. My drag pack is going to save us 100 lbs. Run 3/8 tank of E, I'll need to get into the low 1.50's on 60ft or even upper 1.40's and hopefully 139 mph will put us right on the edge of wetness.
