I need to figure out what we are supposed to do to connect from the LT's back given the additional support under the vert.
Which offroad pipes did you get? They have some that are 3" all the way to connect to an aftermarket mid or they have some that neck down to 2.75" so they connect to the stock mid pipe.

If you have the former, then you either need to exchange them for the latter or get an aftermarket 3" mid pipe. I have the Kooks 3" midpipe and it fits the vert no probs.

No problems either with my 16SS or my ZL1 Convertibles.. Heck I’m over 800hp on the ZL1 now and with the Kooks LT, 1000hp CATs and 3” midpies to the stock NPP the sound is amazing I mean from quiet on stealth to sweet race car sounds at WOT...

Ok. So, I should have the 3in race pipes which connect to the aftermarket mid. I assume I have the latter because they knew I was connecting to a stock mid...but I am hoping they sent the wrong version and then I just need to get the Kooks mid pipe.

I wish I had taken some pictures under the car.
I'm going to guess you have the full 3" connection pipes since you said they dont fit to the stock mid and are leaking. I assume your installer just slid the stock mid inside the 3" connection pipe which is why it won't seal.

I'm just guessing though but it seems plausible.

That was my guess and hope too. That way the answer is simple, get the 3in midpipe.

I have had some other issues I am working on in the short-term. Plus my mechanic is out of the country on vacation so I have to wait until he gets back, or until I can get the car on a lift. I tried putting my camera on a box and sliding it around under the car...but let's just say it wasn't the best quality...so I am not sure if it would be useful.

One thing I can tell you...the car is much louder on startup and much meaner on idle. However, when cruising, because Ted has the RPM's in a different range, the car is much quieter cruising around...AWESOME!

I’ve got TSP and Corsa. I’ve had the headers for about a year now. No issues with it being a convertible.

I believe the issue comes after the header...getting into the mid pipe and beyond. Several of the vendors don’t offer full exhaust (headers back to mufflers) for the vert. Just didn’t know where the issue was.

I sure would have preferred to keep the headers and included the aftermarket mid pipe...just didn’t know that was an option.

I do have the high flow cats too. They are sitting in my trunk. I believe they are the same size as the race pipes so it’s an easy switch.

Regardless of Coupe or Convertible, most of the companies do not offer a Catback exhaust for the 6th gen Bc the factory midpipe actually flows pretty well. I am using the TSP off-road cats with factory mid-pipes.

That’s what I wanted to end up with, the ability to swap in the high flow cats if I wanted. My installer said that my midpipe connected straight to my headers though, no connection pipes needed so idk if Kooks sent me a different part or what. I see no mention of it on their site anymore.

Kooks has a flange that their cats and mid-pipe connect too. TSP bolts together with clamps.
