Bye Bye Twin Turbo . . .

I sold my daily driver which was a twin turbo BMW.

Changes to my job made it so that I no longer go out and visit customers in my car. . .so it really doesn't matter what I have for a daily driver as I don't drive nearly as much any more and most of my trips are to the airport so I always have rental cars with my customers.

Since it doesn't matter, I have ditched the luxury car in favor of another fun car...and the Corvette will now become the daily driver with the Camaro being the Summer fun car.

Although the Corvette is awesome, it is funny how the Magnuson supercharged Camaro has made the Vette feel ridiculously SLOW!

Don't get me wrong. I originally wanted a convertible Vette instead of buying Camaro, but I have two kids so I simply couldn't justify buying a fun car that could only seat two. Because of the kids, I decided it had to be a Camaro or a Mustang and it just so happened I came across a great deal on the Camaro first. All I can say now is, "Thank God!"

I had never had a Camaro...but today, after driving my Vette and my Camaro back to back...all I can say is WOW...I really appreciate how the great the Camaro is and especially how Wicked the SS has become.

FYI - When I told the people at the car dealership that the Vette was going to become my daily driver because my Camaro was my "fun" car...they were surprised.

"You are going to have a car with that kind of speed as a daily driver," they asked?
"To be clear, the Vette is not fast. It's fun, but it isn't fast. If you want to ride in a fast car, come on over and take a ride in my vert," I said with a smile.

Only way that could happen is if I had an unbelivable deal. Heck, I even bought the full factory warranty extension ro 100k miles (car has 20k)...because the plan is ti stay stock. I could see adding a blower and intake only.

Will try to get some pictures this weekend. I still don't have the hood painted on my Camaro, so pics kind of suck right now.

Well, not "stock", but not as heavily modified. I should have the chin splitter and side skirts ordered this week. Unfortunately, I only see flat black or carbon fiber...I need gloss black.
