The EV performance 2 door vehicle from Chevy will quite possibly be next gen Corvette and that’s only my thinking and opinion. If Chevy builds a 2 door Camaro or variant they only know.

OK, but they still don't actually show anything. Its smoke and mirrors. Even the burnout on the stone bridge was fake with the real Challenger.

When the title of the thread is "Do you think Chevy will release something like this?" and this is a hype commercial, then yes, I think Chevy will do one as well. If it is reference to some EV muscle car, then show me the car. In essence, Dodge has show as much of their EV sports car as GM has. Both have said they are going to make one, but have nothing to show past that.

The clip was a fancy magic trick. They wanted to look in their left hand so you would never question what was under the handkerchief in their right hand.

Really hope Chevy steps it up in more ways than just an EV. The brand as a whole has been pretty boring and disappointing the last few years. Ford and dodge are leagues ahead, but I guess that makes for good competition

The summit video above is what is funny. They say Dodge will not build electric vehicles, they will build America eMuscle.

Well GM needs to fix the whole “teehee your battery might explode, our bad” thing in their ev vehicles before trying anything new.

You don't consider the Porsche Taycan or Audi etron GT sporty? Wow, you are picky.

Tesla roadster, if it ever comes to market, is beyond "sporty". And of course there was the original Tesla built off of the Lotus platform. So there is that.

Already underway. Battery manufacturer has accepted responsibility and will be paying for almost all of the repairs of Bolt and Bot EUV.

I’m skeptical, however there is a big opportunity to make a superior handling and braking sporty car. Just consider the weight distribution and COG possible.

I don't see any gm EV model as a "muscle car". As long as they make the Corvette, either in ICE or a future EV configuration, copying Dodge or Mustang I think is pointless and over-kill for GM or Chevy. Dodge and Ford have nothing to compete with the 'Vette.

The Camaro had it's day in the sun for a while. It's done and gone. EVs will all be too similar/boring, the differences will be negligible. They will all gravitate to point A to B smart-phones on wheels.....except for the Corvette. My $.02.

They will be no more boring or similar than they are today.

There is so much more to the character of a vehicle than its propulsion system. A lot. And the company does it best will win.

That being said one of the biggest hurdles in the automobile industry is the capital required to manufacture an ICE. Add the difficulty in meeting exhaust and evaporative emissions, it’s hugel expensive.

With GM’s Ultium batteries available to anyone and simply buying off the shelf electric propulsion systems you will see a lot of entries ncluding China. 2 execs I used to work with at GM are now both CEOs for “last mile” delivery vans. Two separate companies that can now compete with Ford and soon GM because the cost of entry has dropped a ton. And China? Wait 5 years and we will see how that plays out.

What I meant was if there is any upgrade or room for improved speed, performance, handling, etc. in an EV, it will show up in a Corvette. Everything else in the GM line-up will be similar brand-x performance. The vast majority of vehicles will have the same batteries, platform, electric motors, and measured "performance", as all the others.

A two door EV Camaro with the same performance as a soccer-mom's EV Equinox? EVs will lose any performance differences in the whole line-up and between brands.

Ill add a few cents to your 2 cents. .

EVs are boring, IMO, and always will just be appliances.
