I am referring to the computer assist with the suspension. I am still struggling with how it works and how to disengage it. I guess they refer to it as stability control.
That is what I meant to say.
Still struggling with understanding what the wheel slip indicator refers to when scrolling thru the menu for the display.
Any simple explanation would be appreciated.

I don't own a ZL1 1LE, but I did get a chance to put around 350 miles on one.
I currently own a 5th Gen ZL1.
I've heard all the many stories about how firm the 1LE rides and was warned that if I wanted to buy one to use as a summer DD, that I wouldn't like the harsh ride the 1LE has.
Before I took the 1LE for a trip, I learned that if you're going to drive it on the street, the secret is to lower the tire pressure to 29psi. Of course if you're going to track the car, you'd re-adjust the tire pressure once you get to the track anyway.
I was really impressed with the ride! Was it firm, sure it was, but it wasn't any where as objectionable as I had been warned.
yes you'll feel all the bumps and expansion joints in the roads, but I wouldn't have any problem driving one on a daily basis during the summer.

Just shows how relative this is for everyone.

Before I got my Hellcat I read all of this stuff about how the TRACK setting made the car feel like a rock, where you'd count the hairs on the a$$ of a fly if you ran it over!

Well, sure, Track mode is stiff, but not nearly as stiff as I expected. I use it happily if the roads are fairly smooth.

On normal roads - the ride is not as bad as everyone says it is. it is slightly bumpier than driving a 5th gen ZL1 on full track settings for the mag ride.

on bad roads - well, just stay off the bad roads.

I think it was part of a plot between you, Becky, and Joe to get me in it for a drive.

Ever since the 6th gen ZL1 came out, they've been after me (gently) to upgrade my 2013 to a 6th gen ZL1. I'm retired now, so the finances don't really lend themselves to do that so well anymore.

Along comes the 1LE, and I think you all conspired to get me to drive it, knowing if I did, I'd be hooked and want one.

It damn near worked. When I got back, I walked in and said to Becky, 'now we DID make a dal where I trade my 2013 convertible for this 1LE straight up right? we just trade keys right?'
For some reason she started laughing and couldn't stop.

All during the ride all I could think of is how do I sell this, dip into that, trade this, etc to get my hands on this wonderful beast.

I think the saving grace is that all her allocations were already used up. DARN !

I loved the heck out of that car, and that's with having to adhere to the break in procedure. If I had been passed that (and it was MINE), then I had found some wonderful country roads to really try it out. And of course I stopped at Gingerman's on the way back, but just long enough to take a picture at the entrance. No I didn't take it on the track. Maybe next time????

Ive put some miles on the car, and the new car feelign has started to subside; the ride is pretty rough. id say its similar to sitting in the bed of a truck while someone else is driving.

In town driving is not bad at all, and smooth freeway lanes are also OK as well, but when the freeway lanes are bad - its really bad. the back of the car will actually come off the ground when the joints in the freeway bridges are raised up (LA freeways suck!).

So - Id recommend anyone who cannot handle riding in the bed of a truck to get a regular ZL1.

No regrets - as I will track the car - but just putting this out there.
