Storing My SS Questions

Guys ...It's time to store within the next few weeks...I am not keeping
it here at my place...I got a place that is covered (of course) but NOT
HEATED...No electricty access...
1) When you diconnect the negative terminal do you keep the battery
in the car or take it out...
2) I will be parking on thick rubber floormats to keep from flatspots...
3) Gonna make sure it's full of Sunoco 94 ...
4) And cover it with factory car cover...
This is the first vehicule i store and don't keep at home in my garage...
Am i missing something here

Thanks a bunch guys...

1) Consider taking the battery out and don't leave it on a concrete floor. Maybe put a trickle charger on it, or just charge it up again in the spring before re-installing it.
2) To prevent flat spots, pump the tires up to 40-42 PSI as well
3) Add the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer to your gas tank for the amount of fuel left in it.
4) Given how you're storing it (in a barn?) I'd throw a few pans of mothballs under the car and around its perimeter to keep the mice away!

Best regards,

Elie

A must if your running ethanol blended fuel. To learn more about the problems with this fuel GoldEagle, manufacturer for Stabil has compiled a pretty good page on the subject.

Concrete floor?

Put it on jack stands. Start once a month and put it in gear. Gets fluids thru the rear gears and tranny. Getting it up to temperature gets rid of moisture in the fluids.....

No necessary changes needed, possibly start once or twice a month. Nothing else necessary.

...don't let the battery sit on a concrete floor if it is removed from the car. It will discharge far more quickly.

NO!

The chassis/suspension is designed to be under load, do not suspend the car

1) Take it out and store in ur house at room temp.
2) I do that but jack it up and let it rest on jack stands if u can to take the stress off the suspension & no flat spots
3) Don't forget a bottle of Stabil fuel treatment
4) Yes but a microfiber lined car cover is better
