It takes a different kind of person to own a Wrangler. They are cool, fun and at the same time a pain in the a$$ in many ways. If you're a Jeep type of person, you put up with the later and just enjoy the rest. I loved the Jeeps that I've owned ,but I've grown too old for a Wrangler and the quarks that they have. That's why I own a Grand Cherokee now.

I have a 2013 JK and love it. Nothing like popping.the top and cruising in a 4x4. I had an 89 YJ and these new Wranglers are light years ahead of.their predecessors.

I miss my Jeep , had TONS of fun in it. Its not a refined as the Camaro and doesn't have the same road manners but fun none the less. Jeep is fun going slow and if you like to go camping the Jeep will take you places you would normally wouldn't venture. Here is a pic of my Jeep that i traded in for the Camaro. IN the Jeep community there is a saying, Just Empty Every Pocket !

Much of what I've heard about the Unlimited is more or less from 'traditionalists' who don't care for it all that much. But from everyone else, they seem to like it. The longer wheelbase gives it a better ride over the regular Wrangler, plus its a bit more practical.
Otherwise, its a Jeep Wrangler. They're sorta like the Camaro. If you like 'em, you can forgive their short comings. If you don't, those short comings are all you'll notice.

Depends on the model. The basic Sport and Sahra model will net you on average 17-19 in the city and a out 22-24 highway because they come with highway style tires. The Rubicon model with the more nobby offroad tires will get you about 15-16 in the city and 20-22 highway because it comes stamdard with M\T tires. Once you get bigger tires like 35's, which is what I have in my picture, your mpg will drop dramatically. Expect to see about 12 city and 19 highway.

Road noice is constant with the Jeep. For me the Camaro is super silent compared to my Jeep and the biggee the tires you go the more you will hear them. The Jeep is a love hate relationship, it does come with inherent creaks, moans, vibrations and the occasional water leak. Mostly due to the construction because you can remove the top, doors and fold the front windshield down. The carpet used for the interior is mostly ascetic because its designed to be removed by one person for easy access to the six drain plugs found under the body.

The Camaro and the Jeep are polar opposites, Im still getting use to the Camaro. The Jeep is very slow compared to the Camaro, more squeks, and deffiently not a garage queen. I would go months with out washing the Jeep and not care as much about small scratches, in my opinion it added character to the Jeep. If you like doing anything remotely outdoors, i.e. camping or the beach, then you will enjoy the crap out of the Jeep. Visit the JK Forum, its has great people and is setup similar to this forum.I can tell you pretty much anything you want to know about the Jeep, from gears, offroad equipment, accesories and DIY's. PM me if you have any more questions, love sharing my knowledge.

I have a 2009 Rubicon 2-door (for work) and an Unlimited 2013. The power in the 12's and 13's are worth it. As stated above, I was hitting almost 20mpg average before I threw some 33's and a lift on, now I average 16ish.

OK thanks. I have been trolling the Jeep forums. I have been riding Harleys for years, so being a "jeep" thing, or a "Camaro" thing, I can understand that. I am not big into throwing money at mods and stuff, not at this point. So I would stay with the wheels and tire size. I never did know that jeeps really hold their value, like Harleys do.

Unless you're a serious off-roader, a Grand Cherokee is the way to go. It was designed from the MB ML platform and it shows. Check out Jeepgarage.org.
