Not quite sure where to post this question, so mods, if it is in the wrong spot, please move it if needed. Thanks. I went out today to put the charger on my new Diehard Platinum AGM battery, H7 series as I read that you should bring it to full charge before install. I didn't notice it when I bought it, but on the top there is a small sticker that says MADE IN CHINA!! Really??? I thought the Diehards were made by Johnson Controls that got bought out by another company here in the US, along with Duralast and Everstart. Went back to the Advance store and sure enough ALL the H7's have a MADE IN CHINA sticker on them. The H8's they had showed a MADE IN GERMANY sticker on the top. Question is did any of you guys out there that bought a Diehard H7 have that sticker? I know it has a 3 or 4 year warranty on it, but dang, made n China?? I searched the web and there is a lot of folks out there that had the same issue. I don't like putting Chinese stuff in my Camaro!! I'm kind of leery about that.

That's the World we live in now.
I always measure any battery with a meter, it should come 12v .... nah nah nah not 14v

lol, you're too funny!! Glad THAT one is over. And I don't think anything in my car is Chinese, That I know of. I'm pretty strict on who, and where I get my stuff from. I do a lot of researching and question asking before purchase, this one threw me for a loop though.

Well it took 5 hours on the CTEK to bring it up to full charge, set on the AGM setting. So we'll see tomorrow tomorrow about installing it. Still leery about the "China" sticker though. I'd much rather see it say "Germany" though, they make good stuff!!

Johnson controls is no longer in the battery business. I work for that company, luckily nothing to do with batteries though.

The Wet Cell Diehard I recently purchased was made in S Korea. I picked it up after I returned a NAPA AGM that was "proudly" built in China. I recently purchased a Napa AGM for my Z06 that was made in US of A! Go figure. Funny thing is Napa is still charging Made in USA prices for the Chineseum AGM, $250.

I just bought a GM Genuine Transmission mount direct from GM. On the box it said "Made in China" unfortunately its just too expensive to make parts domestically these days.
