im not done as an NHL fan yet, probably never will be though, because i have only been watching for about 2 years but this still really sucks. does give me time to save up for the Winter Classic if they reschedule it to next year though

Yeah i've come to the conclusion that the 2012-2013 season is lost. Sucks cus i really wanted to see how the Red Wings would respond to all this talk of actually having to try to make it to the playoffs without Lidstrom

I just miss hockey period. I've been contemplating going to a AHL game.
Especially right now. Football team is garbage and playing for draft picks. Basketball, is basketball..won't matter until the last quarter of the season. And there's no baseball.

I don't miss hockey one bit. Kind of sad considering I know a handful of NHL players from high school, one of which happens to be the current recipient of the Conn Smythe trophy... I have plenty of reason to be invested, I just never will be as much as I am in football/baseball.

And the latest.....The National Hockey League issued the following press release Friday:
NEW YORK -- Today, in response to information indicating that NHL Players have or will be asked to vote to authorize the National Hockey League Players' Association's Executive Board to proceed to "disclaim interest" in continuing to represent the Players in collective bargaining, the National Hockey League filed a Class Action Complaint in Federal Court in New York seeking a Declaration confirming the ongoing legality of the lockout. Simultaneously with the filing of its Complaint, the NHL also filed an Unfair Labor Practice Charge with the National Labor Relations Board alleging that by threatening to "disclaim interest," the NHLPA has engaged in an unlawful subversion of the collective bargaining process and conduct that constitutes bad faith bargaining under the National Labor Relations Act. |
