Another winter fitment thread - help needed

Hi guys,

I currently am running a squared 245/45/19 setup of winter tires on a set of TSW wheels for winter DD duties. I want to switch to a wider tire (yes I know they won't have as good of traction in deep snow) and am looking at 19" setups.....my question is that by my math the 245/45/19 tires I have now sit approx. .94" higher than my stock 1LE 285 fronts and .48" higher than the rears and fit fine. I am looking at going to a square 285/40/19 setup which will push me to 1.24" taller in front and .78" taller in the rear......car is currently in the repair shop (deer) so I cant measure anything myself but that sounds like the 285 will be too tall and give me clearance issues. Are there any wheel/tire gurus that can pitch in here?
