Is this the one you were talking about? https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...177-ND/1993169

I might just buy 2 and do it that way. If someone comes up with a OEM type solution I can always throw the factory fans back in.

I also found the 2LT/2SS HVAC controls in a junkyard for under $90, waiting to hear back from them on shipping.
Yes sir. Same 4,400 rpm top speed.

Wonder if same Recaro blower services seat back and seat bottom? Thing is, two blowers per seat are listed on GMparts.com for the '16 2SS. They want $85 for each there and the back blower may be buried in the seat back???!

Reference parts 6, & 17 thru 20

There is a wire that runs up the back but I think it's for the heating pads. I didn't notice anything else running in that direction

That connector is the chassis side of a 1LE. Someone posted a link to the 2SS connector a few pages back that you can compare against. It seems is missing quite a few pins in comparison. The 2SS also had a few additional larger gauge connectors on it. Those two could be power for the motors etc... as well.

A question for those that have pulled the seat. Is it possible to trace the seat component wiring back to the seat side connector? And determine what that pinout is? It could be mapped back to the chassis side and leave us with a delta...

To use the OEM switch, we would need:

- 2SS/2LT HVAC controls (pn 84078980)
- 2SS/2LT HVAC module (pn 13598157)
- 2SS/2LT HVAC engine bay harness (pn 23304665)
- 2SS/2LT electrical harness to plug into seat (pn ???)

There may be more parts, if someone could find everything tagged (CJ2), (KA1), and (KQV) that would help.

The biggest issue for me would be replacing the harnesses. And after that the module may not work with the HMI, although Gen5DIY might be able to reprogram that. Hope someone else can figure it out and share their experience.

Yes. But the SS 1LE does have a different right side axle when compared to a regular SS...supplier was changed for '17 as well. Suppose to be a "better" supplier for all axles.

I would run it myself (via Pace or similar) and not trust the dealer...then compare it to the diagrams, only way to be totally sure.

Typical pre-packaged PWM signal generator...

For DC fan speed and control.

https://www.amazon.com/RioRand-Contr...s_a_1_5&sr=8-5

Still curious if there are 2 blowers or 1 involved in each seat...

What about a Hi / low / off switch on the side of each seat where motor controls are located. Yes, not really that fancy, but gets the job done?

Visual comparison right next to each other for an easier visual between passenger connectors 1LE to 2SS:
1LE

2SS

Good overview of what we are into as related to "powering" a brushless DC motor...

Those switches, or any would work, however you still need a controller. Brushless motors, most, use micro possessors to control them the majority use a hall effects sensor to since and send the motors speed and decode the signal back as a pulse. Without the pulse, complicated motors will not work. Simple, computer fan motors for example, will with just power. Our cars use CAN + and or - for the signal.
You may be able to use a PCB with PWM speed (voltage) control. You'd have to power the board with 12v, then wire to a switch, then wire to the motor. I have a fan controller I'm 90% sure will work with low and high for speed. I'm really hoping to have time Sunday to test. If it works you that just want on and off and two speeds will be good to go. Heat, maybe a different issue. I believe it's a 3 setting with just varying voltage. A bit easier to fab.

This should work for the vent motor. I'm double checking the specs

My money is that the 2 larger spade terminals on the 2SS (but not on the 1LE) just up and left of center are for seat heater feed power....

Other pinouts in 1LE may be:

6 way seat power (the other 2 larger lugs I'd bet - same as 2SS) - as all 1LE SS 6 way control switches are in seat itself.
Side head and torso airbag firing circuits (at least 4 pins?)
Seat belt lap belt retractor firing circuit (at least 2 pins)
Seat lap belt connection switch (at least 1 pin to ground?)
Seat airbag sensor in seat? (at least 2 pins?)
No memory (could be several position switches for track fore/aft, back angle, height up down, etc. - maybe the cluster of 9 pins or more for just memory position feedback sensors)
No heat (again bet it's those 2 big missing pins)
No vent (needs 3 pins minimum for DC brushless for PWM signal, + & -) <- maybe the 3 small pins in a row missing on the lower right side of the 1LE chassis connector?

Maybe the cluster of 9 pins together are air bags (4 pins?) + lap belt firing circuit (2?) + lap belt switch (1?) + seat airbag on switch (2?) = 9??

Like a puzzle!

Need schematics & pin outs!!
