BMR suspension.

I’m looking to buy some suspension from BMR. I’m thinking about upper/lower control arms and trailing arms. I want to go the non-adjustable route because I want to keep things as simple as possible. Will these help with launching from a dig? Are there any negatives to using these? Is the lock out kit a necessary item? If so, doe it have to be the one with the bullets?

Any advise you can give is appreciated.

Yes, Yes and Yes. Did mine a couple of months ago and makes a world of different in the backend.

I have all the non-adjustable stuff, car feels great. Zero negatives about doing them other than a slightly lighter wallet.

The lock out kit looks pretty involved. I was hoping to get away with just the arms. Lol!

Actually the lock out kit wasn't terrible. I have a lift though and that certainly helped.

I did all non adjustable as well as lockout kit. For me it was immediate improvement. Luckily I was able to have one of the guys from BMR install them all.

The lockout kit is probably more important than the arms. I have the arms and lockout kit. You might as well get the toe rods and do that while you are there.

These components will make a significant improvement to the car.

Well I bit the bullet and bought both lockout kits, upper and lower control arms, and trailer arms. I’m hoping all this helps me put the power down.

You only need one cradle bushing upgrade. You bought two?

I contacted BMR and they recommended the cradle lockout and the differential lockout.

be careful with the differential lockout for the top bolt on the differential. This is not solid on a ZL1 1LE. The front differential lockout locations work fine. You must replace the top bolt as it is a TTY bolt in that location. BMR directions have no mention of it.

Thank You for the heads up. It sucks that I have to buy all new GM bolts because they have not found another solution yet.

Are the bolts for the upper/lower control arms and trailing arms TTY bolts that should be replaced?

They are TTY bolts. They need to be replaced as well. I have heard of a few ppl reusing them tho one more time. Not sure how safe that is.

I highly recommend you buy the bolts online. Through my local stealership all the bolt come out to $150. If you buy online it’s about $100 dollars for everything shipped.
