Seatbelt

Hi my name is Georg,

I am from germany and now a happy owner of a 2011 camaro 6.2 v8 2ss us import.

Now i have a little problem that my airbags blow out the seatbelts and the roof airbags.

So my problem is now that my Camaro dealer told me , there are two different Seatbelts for the camaro one is 1 st design and a other one with 2Design but he cant told me which is the right for my car.
And in the german camaro forum they dont know it too.

Sorry for my bad english.

My FIN is 2g1fk1ej1b9132231

Are you saying the seatbelt makes the airbag light come on the dash?

If you were in the us there are some companies that rebuild seatbelts for a lot cheaper than buying new

I can confirm there's different designs because I bought a set of buckles from someone who owned a 2012 SS and they didn't fit on my 2015 SS. The older style uses a larger size buckle. I would assume your 2011 needs the kind with the bigger buckle.

I know I've seen differences between the 10-11 models but cannot find part numbers or the pictures. You may want to snap a photo of what you have for verification. The gen5diy user here is always pretty helpful. Someone may give more info with a picture on what you need.

With all the regulation on used/aftermarket car parts in the EU, I can see this causing a real headache. Especially since it is a safety item.

I would be surprised if new/used belts can even be shipped overseas since they technically contain explosives.

Shit, I was crapping bricks when I shipped my air bag to the buyer, and he was in the states already.
