It essentially has an advanced DOD system. It has a 160hp electric motor in the Frunk area to move the car when you are cruising, and I believe an LT2 in the rear for when you wanna move fast and drive it like a corvette. As Amelia Hartford stated, business in the front and party in the back. I am not a big supporter of the EV movement, but atleast this one still has a v8 in it. I can see the kid who buys this 10-15 years from now when the EV motor starts having issues, "yeah I did the EV delete on it. Its basically a racecar now."

I like that Chevrolet is building this as well as the Z06/Z07. I wouldn't buy it but there is definitely a market for it and they already have the platform. However, the 4 door Camaro is a joke, there is no need to follow Ford down that naming path. The Mach-E might be a fine auto but it's not a Mustang.

I think GM missed. The EV up front and V8 in the back is something I would have expected from a hybrid in 2005. To get anyone’s attention now it needed to be some insane dual or quad all wheel drive monster. No gas at all.

I think its a solid idea. The C8 is hot. People will be buying up all the models.
The Corvette is a tradition sports car. It has always been a mid front engine V8. They added a small electric motor still coupled to a big V8 (now in mid rear engine layout) and kept the same Corvette shape. I believe Porsche will follow with a hybrid version of a 911 soon. IF either company makes a full EV model of each car too soon they will lose a giant portion of their customer base. I still doubt all these companies will go full blown EV and completely scrap ICE. they might say that now but things change quickly as time progresses. Completely abandoning years of refining and engineering in ICE for EV is absurd. There's room and application use for both in the real world.

I am with you all on the F-the EV movement but hybrids... Well they are kinda different. Being in the automotive business I've driven a lot of them. The electric motor in some really pulls from a dead stop and looking at the performance stats this is one of them.. I bet this car is a blast to drive.. Now again don't go flaming me , like most of you all I have a NA 427 in the garage with mods that don't make it exactly EPA friendly.
