The seat will have to come out to remove the back seat cover. I wouldn’t worry about the repair. Most dealerships have a tech who does trim work, or they can have an auto upholstery shop they use who can handle it.

Yesterday I sat in the car and then noticed the same driver's side rip towards bottom of the seat back. Will start my journey for repair tomorrow with Dealer as this car is 5 months old.
Once its repaired, am wondering if it will happen again in a short period of time. Only 3000 miles on car. |

They didn't fight much if it was within about a years worth of ownership. That was kinda the way it had been since I was at the dealership last, more than 20-years ago.

Took Camaro into dealership yesterday afternoon for them to log and photograph the ripped open seam.
Today received word GM has approved and new seat back material has been placed on order. |

I tried looking for replacement seat back covers and can find everything but the Recaro version, does anyone that has replaced one have a part #? thanks for any info
