Power window auto-up express not working
Hi all,
I've read the manual and tried everything, but my passenger window will not auto express up. It will do it going down, but that's it. It is a convertible and when looking at it, I did notice it doesn't index down fast enough when I open the door and catches the top briefly. Drivers door indexes down and doesn't catch. Maybe a dealer trip? Thanks for any tips! |

If you haven't already reset the battery then a trip to the dealer might be the best option!

Hey guys,
I work in an autobody shop, and this trick usually works to "reprogram" the sensor position for the window allowing it to express up. There may be some variation to this and its just trial and error. Start with the window rolled up. Roll the window down by holding the switch on the drivers door. Don't let go of the button even once the window is down. Keep holding the switch while the window is down for approximately 5 seconds. Then roll the window up straight away, and again holding the button constantly and maintaining the switch "active" while the window is in the close position. After 5 seconds roll the window back down and hold switch while window is down for another 5 seconds. Release the switch and wait 2-3 seconds. Now try express up and express down features. Again there may be variations to this, but I have found this works for 99% of the vehicles out there. Hope this helps, Brad |

just unplug the battery in the truck with the windows down. When you plug the battery back in it will ask you to roll the windows back up so it can index them.

Did this work?
@Robrock
I am having the same issue. Curios if disconnecting the battery with the windows down worked. Thx. Also, I just noticed that we have pretty much the same profile image. Lol

I'm not sure how rolling down the windows and disconnecting the battery in my truck will help, but I am willing to try anything at this point. :P

Disconnect Battery and Recycle the Windows for the win!!!
Thanks guys. Rolling down the windows and then disconnecting the battery for a minute or two worked like a charm on my 2016 2SS Vert.
I'm not entirely sure that the rolling down of the windows is expressly necessary since it asked me to roll down and then up each window in turn anyway. But then again, maybe it does not go through this cycling of the windows when they are all already up.
