Most popular headers?

I have the lS3 2SS Camaro and wantng to up the decibel level just a little. Already have gotten rid of the resonator and new exhaust. but want some headers. Which are the most popular for the Gen 5 and easiest to install?

Thanks in advance for all input

There's American Racing headers, kooks and stainless works. There are many other brands that are also good but these are three of the most popular headers out there with good performance and quality. And for the installation they are all the same except that I've heard that some people have had clearance issues on the 2 inch headers, but the 1 7/8 inch headers are good in clearance, I've never heard anybody having issues on installation with those

Higher price: ARH, Kooks, Stainless Works
Mid range price: Texas Speed, OBX, Stainless Power
Low price: Speed Engineering, ebay off brand

Personally I have Kooks that I got free coating from www.marylandspeed.com by using the code 'freecoatkooks'. Excellent service, even better price, and incredible headers!

Thanks guys. Have heard a lot of good things about Kooks.

Never knew the guys were having trouble with the 2". That's why it is always better to ask the ones that have done it

I bought American Racing Headers 1 7/8" w/ high flow cats and single chamber Aero turbine exhaust. Sounds mean as shit. I been thinking about getting Borla Ataks tho

Not all of them have trouble, I've heard of people saying they had no trouble with them but I've heard of a few saying that they had clearance issues, not sure how or why but I've just heard of it, but yeah like you said its better to ask the people who actually have done it. I have kooks 1 7/8 and they are great and put them on myself with no problem

I loved my Stainless Works. May be partial to them since they're about an hour from my house though.

they're all going to discolor unless you get them coated.

Yeah I concur, best header for the money Speed Engineering hands down. They turn a slight rainbow gold and purple that's typical of uncoated 304 SS. Fitment was great and this car in general is the easiest vehicle I've ever installed headers on. Even easier than my 2012 Silverado I used to have.
