dealership badge removal.
I have my stupid dealership badge on my rear end, above my left tailpipe and it looks very stupid. what is the safest way to remove, and remove the glue residue.

Fishing line from..well any store. And 3M I order online. Not sure if autozone would sell it.
Like the other poster mentioned, goo gone might work too if the glue isn't too baked on or strong. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

A hair dryer should do the trick, a heat gun might get the surface to hot and cause damage.
If you have some PB Blaster or WD40 laying around I'd give that a try first, Bug & Tar Remover is another product I've use with great success.

Don't need to buy anything if you have a hair dryer. Hi heat aimed at a corner or any starting point. Use a piece of plastic like a credit card and gently pry up while blasting the heat right where you're lifting. You'll see the glue pull off the car and stay on the back of the badge. Should take less than five minutes. After it's off apply some car wax and you're set to go. If you pull too fast the glue will stick to the car, so go slow and easy, that way you've got nothing to clean up afterwards. I tried the fishing line once, it leaves all the glue stuck onto the car, and that really sucks cause then you do need some sort of harsh chemical stuff like goo begone Which also removes your sealer-wax, so it's just creating more work.

WD40 is the best thing to remove dealer logos. just wash and rewax when done. Don't let it get on any emblems you don't want to remove.

i had the dealer take the dealer tag off before i took delivery. he wasnt thrilled, but i told him that if i am going to go around advertising for him, to put me on retainer. he took it off the next day. but, fishing line and 3m remover should do the trick.

Every time I buy a car or truck from my dealer I tell him that he can put their sticker on my vehicles if I can hang a banner on his building with my company logo.
