Sidepipes?!?!?!
One thing i hope to god that GM/Saleen or at least some clever aftermarket company produces for the 5th gen would be some loud, obnoxious molded into to the body Sidepipes. Personally i think sidepipes are a mainstay among alot of muscle cars and deserve a spot on the Camaro. What do you guys think? Do they have a chance of showing up? If i remember right i never even saw a set for 4th gen camaros.

I think sidepipes look hot on c2, c3 corvettes and on some leadsleads. Louder is definitely always better!! Maybe some NASCAR style exiting just ahead of the rear wheels within an intergrated body colored panel (I think I've seen this on some of newer Mustangs). Looks cool when you're smokin' the tires!!

Logically it's always harder to do.....just because the exhaust gets sooo hot it begins to heat/skorch the paint.

I would have to see the set up. Don't think GM would do that due to a higher production cost. I'm sure it could be done. All it take is the cash.

Actually it's not that hard to do, all you need is some "j" pipes and chrome tips.
However I think it's a horsepower restrictor just because the flow of the exhaust. I know Roush does it for the Mustangs, and the Roush clone just use some Dynomax mufflers with some extra piping. |

I'm with TAG UR IT I would have to see the setup first before making a decision. I've seen some side pipes make cars look great and others just make it ugly as all hell.

God I hope not.
Not only are they less-restrictive, they look awful. I'm not a fan of any body cladding/ground effects on any modern car.
