Update: ended up going with the Motive 4.11 kit that GPI sells on their site. What a difference! This car freaking rips now. Second gear feels like first gear before the swap. Ended up doing diff bushings, BMR trailing arms, BMR toe rods and a BMR 1.25 drop kit as well.

Tune could be it, I just don't have any trusted sources near by that I can have it checked. Place that did the initial tune and cam went out of business 2 weeks after I got my car back....

Plan is to get it checked by the shop that installs my gears. But, my knock/ping is only in 6th. 3rd, 4th, or 5th around those RPMs you mentioned is generally fine.
