Will c6 corvette offsets work on my 2010 5th gen ss?

I seem to find lots of great deals on used high end wheels like ccw, forgeline, but they are always for c6 corvettes. I know the bolt pattern is the same but what about offsets? I dont want them to stick out of the past the fender and quarter panels.

I am going to be test fitting the ZR1 front 19x10, +40 wheels from my father's C6 this weekend as I have the same thought. I'll post a few photos and my opinion/insight once finished.

So, I have the information on the front right now, rears are next. The 19x10, +40 from the C6 widebody front fitment does work on the front of the 5TH gen SS Camaro (mines a '10, not sure if anything i there changed). The 285/30-19 Nitto Invo's wheel saver lip contacts the strut body. That leads me to believe that a 275/30(or35)-19 tire would work. I'm thinking I'll try a 275/40-19 because I like a bit of sidewall if I go this route.

The 19x10, +40 has Zero issues on the rear, more space than you'll know what to do with. A 305/30-19 would fit beautifully in there (aside from the fact that most tire manufacturers recommend no narrower than an 11" wheel for a 305 section width, So a 295 may be wiser unless you can track down a matching rear 19x11, +40 or +43 even.

And, in case you are wondering, Don't bother trying any of the Corvette rear offsets, they are all WAY to positive and wide, the wheel won't even go far enough into the wheel well to meet the studs (tried this with a nice set of Cray wheels we had a while back). If this is an idea of yours, you'll need to stick with front offsets/sizes, go custom, or stick the Camaro stuff. Hope this was helpful to you and anyone else who ever considered this. Have a good one and don't stop modding and experimenting!!!
