So how many years and/or miles will it be before the car is starting to get "damaged" and the engine will lose power or reliability?

There has only been one case with 10's of thousands of these in use over the past 15 years, and it turned out to have been the tech misdiagnosing. The customer did not pursue it with the FTC as it is Illegal to have any impact on the warranty as long as the system does NOT defeat, delete, or reduce any of the functions of the stock PCV system and retains a closed emissions compliant system.

ALL Elite systems meet the requirements, but we have not been able to seek CARB cert for highway use in CA. That is in the pans in the future.

What cans would void the warranty legally? And with breathers, vents, or that in anyway defeat the factory systems functions. And that is quite a few that people install here.

It is a violation of Federal law to void the warranty for many aftermarket products, but unscrupulous dealers do take advantage of customers as most do not know their rights. Visit the FTC site and search for the sections specifically covering this. The FTC also has guides and offers assistance to file a complaint if your a victim. This is an area with much misinformation, and also the fact that almost no one follows through and uses the law to resolve the issues if they get taken by a dealer. Dealers, Factory reps, etc. also directly lie to service writers and managers on this if the dealership is one of the unscrupulous ones. Also, there are many GM and Ford dealers in the US and Canada that install these to help customers avoid these issues, so it is purely up to the dealer themselves.
