The Drive's Peter Holderith and Clickbait BS "News"

Seems like it's trendy to put up lopsided BS clickbait articles these days and this Peter Holderith seems like a lowlife playing the game with TWO misleading articles about the Camaro in a row.

IDK why "The Drive" tolerates and publishes this BS.

Media needs to figure out WTF they are here for. It's gotten pretty bad and crap like this is a great example of what's wrong.

The article about sales in a "Death Spiral"? What an idiot! There are no Camaros to buy and used prices have gone WAY UP due to demand. Seriously, don't you have anything better to do with your life than create misleading stories hoping for clicks? Peter, you are an example of what's wrong with media today, I hope your Mom is proud.

clickbait is exactly what they are here for.. which is why any given article has multiple grammatical and spelling errors, as well as either having no flow or it just runs on. More clicks, More time spent on page, More ad revenue.

You can add Motor Trend to that list.

I noticed a lot of automotive news outlets were quick to spread the delayed Z06 C8 Corvette news a couple of weeks ago but the way most, not all, worded their headlines was that the model was going to be delayed for many years (insinuating 5+ years) instead of 1 or 2 model years that was already admitted by GM from the initial news release

You putting the link here is giving them exactly what they want. Recommend using an archive.is or an AMP link.

The fact you posted about this is obviously feeding the article with views. If you don't want to feed the BS, don't bring it to light. People are always going to criticize the Camaro. Should it affect your own opinion on the car? No, unless you subscribe to this type of stuff.

"Jounralist" and "CNN" aren't those incompatible? Corporate media doesn't exactly do journalism.

That's a little over my head with the AMP link, but I did link to the author's page and not the specific article on purpose.

If people click that link hopefully analytics will point the site and author to this thread so they can see what opinions folks have about the content.

I went to read it…….and found nothing wrong with article. Camaro is selling like crap in a dying segment. What’s the issue?

You're exactly right. "Its not how they are talking about you, it is that they ARE talking about you". In most cases, any publicity is better than none. These peoples' jobs aren't to spread the most accurate, reliable, factual, information possible... it is to reach to largest crowd and to gain peoples' attention.
