I think right around 7:30 is a good est time.

I'm using the the BMW M4 GTS, 458 and Z28 lap times for comparison.

all we need is like "Sub 7:40 or sub 7:50" that way it can leave the 10 seconds for margin of error or no video.

I don't see a reason why an actual best lap time couldn't be stated as such. It would be unofficial anyway due to no vid. Just like GT350R time is unofficial and frankly nobody knows where it came from. Yet it appears on the "official" list. In any case, it is just a lap time after all, not a state secret

The Civic Type R did a 7:43...so we know it's faster than that.

That type R time is impressive! I recall them using more aggressive tires than offered at the factory, but still. Wow!

I'd love to see a base 1SS M6 lap video and time!

PS I am sure GT350R posted a good lap but what has been adopted by various websites (and now propagated and de-facto accepted as official) is without any merit. There is no video and Ford never confirmed it even as an unofficial lap. And as far as I recall, nobody has even been able to clarify who/what the source was. It just "appeared", got reported by most blog media and then stuck.
Internet has its ways of creating reality it seems.
