ADM TRANS COOLER - YES!

Got my ADM Trans Cooler installed today... Quick and painless... And running 40-50 degrees cooler easily now. Awesome! Cant wait for the track on Friday! Mwa-hahahaha...

Any one else have this installed yet? What kind of temp changes are you seeing?

I can appreciate lower temps but what good does it do your tranny fluid to run at 140 instead of 180? If we were tracking our cars, i'd see the need but for a everyday car or even a drag stip car, is it really needed?

Most are seeing well over 200 degrees.

The factory cooler is built into the Radiator,Heat is transfered from the radiator to the trans fluid causing the trans temps to be at or above the engine temps. We have eliminated the fluid running through radiator and directed it directly to our new cooler that is mounted in front of the a/c condenser...first in line to get cool.

Most of our testing was done in the 100+ degree heat

Anyone with mods to their car, or a stall converter should install a trans cooler. They're too easy to install, for the amount of wear and heat problems they save you from having with your auto trans.

Even on a car without any mods a trans cooler ca have some benefits. Don't be looking for gains at the track, but running cooler temps are going to help prolong the life of the transmission.

At the track a nice even temp will help perhaps with consistency, but don't think there will any reduction in ET from a trans cooler.

I live in PA and its hot here, very hot
My trans runs at 190 MAX which is pefect, running a trans at 140 to 150 in not good.

Now with a verter in the car and over 220 temps then YES a trans cooler is a must.
I will see how mine runs once I add the Pro-torque 2800 to my car then make a decision on a trans cooler..

Your kit looks very nice

Adam you couldnt have said it any better Andy installed one on mine when I did my Cammed Ls3 Conversion

WOW I love it

BEST MOD NO DOUBT DONE TO THIS CAR

Now im not scared to punch on her like I used to since heating the tranny up now is no longer an issue.

with 100degree temps the warmest she gets is 180 normal is below 180

This should HELP Very much with the 3200 stall converter im curious what she will run temp wise after the stall.

DanD - this is the perfect time to do both the tranny cooler and install a Heritage Grill. This is assuming you like the heritage. Anyway just some food for thought. Good Luck

my trans runs 130-150*f with the yank ss3200, the b&m cooler with fan i put on my camaro is the same one i have used on a couple of my cars and they all ran in this temp range with no problems,,, unless you are running the car in the winter,, you really cant over cool an automatic trans

also hook a scan tool to your can and monitor the tcm data, you will see the actuall trans temp data is more accurate than the gauges gm gave us.

And by looking at your chart I AM EXACLTY RIGHT..170 to 215 is perfect...
Your not implying 140 temps are what u want for the trans?
