maybe the valve leaking through was enough to cause the a/fmixture for the closest cylinders to be out enough that they wouldn't fire? or the computer was just screwed up enough that it didn't know what to do?

Might want to replace the rest of the valve springs.

very comin for other cylinders to show random misfires with one bad cylinder lve seen this before on a misfire gragh.
