Ordering a 2022 1SS 1LE, few questions

I plan to start the buying process on a 1LE tomorrow and did search but didn't find what I was looking for quickly. I appreciate the forum members knowledge.

1. Is the Rear View Mirror Camera standard on 1SS's or is it an option? I don't see the option to add it on Chevy's site.
2. Regarding the Recaro seats can someone point me to the DIY to drill out the stopper so they fully recline?
3. The Recaro's I heard have heat and AC potential but you need to hook them for them to work. Can someone point me to that DiY or aftermarket vendor that supports this mod.
4. Lastly I tried to add a power moonroof but the Chevy site won't let me do so without removing the 1LE package. Anybody know why?

I'm stoked to get this car. It will be my summer car as I live in Maine. Plan to get it tinted, ceramic coated right off the bat.

Sunroof kills head room.

Is the rearview mirror camera an option for the 1SS? I'll try and work something out with the dealer to install one. I really want that feature for rear visibility.

I was on the fence about the sunroof and I'm 6' 1" and with a helmet on (when racing) yeah that would suck!

For #3, here's the only option I know of. It enables the ventilated seats by pulling power from a different connector using the plug and play harness and adding a physical switch for on/off. I installed it on my car and highly recommend it!

No one has managed to get the heated seat function working that I have seen...need to buy the 2SS 1LE to get it from the factory if that is a deal breaker for you.

Thanks man! The vented seats are what I'm more interested in as this will be a summer car. Plus my car is heated and the alcantara won't be as cold as leather.

I don't believe the rear view Camera Mirror is available on 1SS. I have a 2SS with the feature, and I must say it is awesome. Only my opinion, but the blind spot monitoring and the rear view camera mirror justified the cost of moving up from a 1SS to a 2SS. I typically don't buy a vehicle with all the gadgets, but those features sure are awesome and made me step up.

Sounds like you want to add 2SS features to a 1SS. Better get the 2SS

These two features are the primary reason I decided to order a 2SS over the 1SS. While the rest of the extra equipment are nice, I could have lived without them, but I really wanted these particular options so I went for the 2SS.

Good luck with everything. Ordered mine in Feb 2021. Delivered Sept 2021. Everyone wants their own options and I get it. Skip the sunroof and just get the 2SS if you can swing it. And just enjoy.

I did this earlier in the year. We’re I to do it again, I’d get the most powerful grinder I could find. It took me an entire weekend for one seat. No regrets though. I smile every time I recline the seat.

Sounds like you want a 2SS.

It's only 8lbs heavier, so it's pretty much the same exact weight.

My take is that this is pretty much the ZL1, minus the supercharged engine. The limited vis is an issue and yes, you do adapt and there are ways to mitigate, but having more on your side, such as the blind-spot monitoring, is just good sense in a car like this IMO. Then there are things that should be like this from the factory, like heated mirrors, dimming mirror, etc. The 2SS 1LE is the entire reason I bought the car. If they didn't offer it in 2SS, I wouldn't have gotten it. I was seeing if I could add some of the features I wanted to the regular 2SS, but it wasn't coming out the way I wanted. I might have gone for a GT350 otherwise...

The rear view mirror for me is a waste. Now I dont DD this car either. I havent used it once in my current 2ss. And the reality is the cooled seats are powered by a couple of small pc CPU type fans. They are noticeable on a warm day, but the price between a 1ss and 2ss is around 10K msrp. And for a summer car, I do enjoy the sunroof.
