Are you going to do a cam while it’s all torn down? If so what one?

Yes ! Pat g stage 3 max effort cam . 10355 melling oil pump , Katech c5r chain , new timing sprocket , ls2 dampener Johnson 2116lsr . Ported heads w valve job . Sc ported reinforced . I’d 1300’s fore double pumper system . A lot more than that but that’s the jist of it
Oh of course after measuring push rods gonna order them from manton if they’re end up a funky size plus running e 85

Sounds like a nice build, should make great power. I’m surprised you have E85 up there. I can’t get it here in western NY.

I assume since the hood is off that you're pulling the engine. The Melling 10355HV is the best oil pump available. Be sure to delete the pressure relief valve in the oil pan.

just my $.02

You know .I didn’t think of that !! I definitely will do .thanks a bunch !!

Running the Johnson you loose alittle oil pressure at idle . But I wouldn’t think the pressure relief valve would help with idle pressure would it ?

Since you’ve done it . Im definitely on board , I’ve known of deleting the valve but was skeptical since running a better oil pump , not wanting to run the pan dry ..

Went ahead and bought the summit ls plug kit for the pressure relief valve . Thanks again

You are going to have a real issue with...tires.

Im guessing that a combo like this on E85 will make 775-800 RWHP. Gonna be really fun.

The pressure relief in the pan was a carry over from DOD/AFM. It wasn't used on the Camaro and I believe will relieve around 50 psi. This would prevent that Melling from creating over that pressure for the rest of your engine. Unfortunately it's in the back of the oilpan so the pan would need to be removed. Sounds like a sweet build you're gonna have there.

Here's a good article.
