Fan going on full power after car is shut off

So my car is from 2016 ss manual. Have around 50k miles it has happened 3 times already. First time night was cool and it fix after itself then after 3 months same thing happened and it fixed by itself after 2 days. Now it happened again just after one day that the second time occurred. So the issues is, while I’m driving the engine temperature needle drops all the way to the bottom when it should be around 200, and the rev match deactivate by itself and the ac stop blowing cold air, then if I turn off the car the engine fan keeps going on at full power after I turn the car off for at least 5 minutes. Any recommendations as to what might be causing this. Just letting you guys know this hasn’t happened in hot days or hours. If I take it to the dealer what should I spect. Thanks guys.

Look at MAF connector and MAF sensor. If the temperature signal from there is lost this can occur.

Same issue. Turned out to be the thermostat. Had it replaced and hasn't happened since.

Here in Monterey, CA dealer charged about $500 to replace. Might be cheaper in Florida.

This happened to my car after I added a Rotofab intake. Turned out that the clamps that came with the kit were not sealing the intake connections very well. Upgraded the clamps and no problems anymore.

Had this same issue a month or so ago, turned out to be the coolant temp sensor.

This is the most likely problem.

Thumbs up

I had this exact same issue on my 2016 Camaro, I ended up disconnecting the battery in the trunk, letting the car sit for 10 minutes, reconnecting it, and never had an issue again, it was a one time thing, I would try this first before buying and replacing a thermostat

Try the battery disconnect but if it comes back then replace the thermostat. Then the coolant sensor.

So many of these cars had the same issue early years. I still have the issue, originally only wanted to change coolant sensor but on the v6 it’s very difficult to reach. Bought a thermostat as well so I’ll replace both when I actually tear the IM off again

I did coolant temp sensor first. Didn't fix. Did thermostat next and now it is fixed. I would just do both at the same time.
