NEW POWER NUMBERS - SHOULD I BE DISAPPOINTED?

Hey guys, here are the numbers from a stock pull a little over a year ago and the recent pull after installing JRE’s 125 Flex Fuel package. These are uncorrected numbers. With SAE correction it’s at 571 whp. 5.3 pulse width at 29% duty cycle. I am a little disappointed I must admit. I was hoping to get 600 whp.

What do y’all think? Thanks in advance.

Sorry about the photo.

So guys who know a heck of a lot more than me will chime in… but ur stock numbers are really low. Most dyno 550-570 or so stock. So either that’s a really low reading dyno or there’s some sort of issue going on.

Stock Camaro LT4 should do around 500-520 on Mustang Dyno from what I've seen locally.

This is why i hate these damn mustang dynos. Great dyno to tune on but the numbers are all over the place.

Depending on the load of the rollers and model of the mustang dyno i've seen numbers from 5% to like 17% differences from a mustang to a dynojet.

This dyno seems to be about 10-11% off from a dynojet based on your numbers. I would assume your making 620+ RWHP on a dynojet so even though it looks like shit on that dyno, your good to go.

74whp is a nice bump

If you're looking for a number, just strap her to a different dynojet and see how she does

As noted above, Mustang Dynos can be very misleading to what you would normally see on a Dynojet. Take her to a Dynojet and run in 7th SAE and report back, that will tell you pretty accurately how you are doing per typical numbers. I was 554whp and 575wtq for a stock A10 2019 ZL1 in 7th gear (1:1).

I do have to say though.. 74whp is quite a gap from 125whp advertised for the flex package from Jannetty, not even 60% of claimed gains. Are you on 93 OP or what blend of E? That could easily make up the difference I'd think if not running sufficient E blend.

I was just getting ready to ask what E% were you running? If that's on 93 you are probably dead on. E60 would likely net another 40-50 hp which would put him right in the ball park.

MartinLe, did you contact Ted and ask him what you are asking on the forum? He is a straight up shop owner that can answer your questions about your concern over the hp gain with your ZL1. I would definitely give Ted a shout is my advice. Good luck.

That is the plan. As you can see, I pulled 493 uncorrected stock in 4th (M6). The car was, and still is, running strong.

That is what I told the tech that ran the dyno. He said that I had a 94 hp bump at the crank which was good. It still seemed that losing 31 hp do to rotational mass, etc., was excessive.

Thanks guys.

That does seem off. I picked up ~100whp on dyno jet using e60 with Teds 125 pkg and I’m at 6000ft altitude (making less boost at altitude). Only difference I see is that I used ARH headers and I used a JMS Booster. I’d definitely call Jannetty and get their input.

What gear was the pull in?

Start with that…I also was tuned on a mustang dyno. 95% of my tuning was done in 6th gear. Final pull was done in 7th gear to get my final number. Some shops don’t like taking there dynos to 180-200 mph spins. My car touches 198. I will post my sheets later, but there was definitely a difference in the 6 vs 7th gear pull.

The tech said I was making 10 psi at 528' elevation on a low 70 degree day. I am going to shoot Ted an email with the pull sheet and see what he says.

Was this remote tuned by Ted or the shop doing the dyno?

For reference my first round of mods were 9.1 lower pulley, 2" headers with no cats and Rotofab. Car was tuned by the shop that installed with 579whp on a dynojet. I was disappointed as well and felt the car idle and drive very strange. I took the car to MS tuning 5hrs away and on his Mustang Dyno and no changes it made 556whp. He then did the tune and it made 612whp.

Tuning is a real big deal!

I have since done remote tuning with Ted on last mod revision and I am very pleased with results.
