My local store has an A10 inbound that I can have for msrp.
They won't accept my supplier discount.
Only options are A10 and color.
In today's climate I'd pay sticker however, add $6100 in tax to msrp.
$2100 to the federalies, $4000 to the county...sigh...

I can’t get anyone to accept supplier in my area either even on an ordered car. I talked to one dealer who wants $5k additional on an order. I can order at MSRP.

I think MSRP is about as good as it will get for the foreseeable future. None of the dealers by me would accept supplier discount either.

That is good to hear. The supplier discount is nice but it is not as much of a discount on the Camaro as it is on some other GM vehicles. It comes out to about $2k on the Camaro since there is not much markup on them. Don’t get me wrong, that $2k is nice and would cover the gas guzzler tax on the ZL1 but in the grand scheme of things is a relatively small amount on a $70k vehicle.

How can you get the supplier discount?

The company you work for or get sponsored by a friend/family member. In normal times folks would be able to get better than supplier discounts so it was normally not that big of a deal. Well, now that MSRP + is the pricing you would think hey, let me use my Supplier discount to help save but most of the dealers are saying nah we not accepting it since we know many folks will pay MSRP+ with the low supply.

Also, even in manual form, many prefer the M6 to the M7 as far as feel. The ZL1 doesn't overheat and the general consensus is that the alpha chassis handles the LT4 power better than the C7Z does, less snap oversteer at the limit.

Cost is also a factor, the ZL1 is loaded up with all the bells and whistles, rear vision camera, Recaros with suede heated and ventilated, interior lighting, etc. for less than $70k while you are in base LZ trim on the Z for more money. I love them both but having owned them the ZL1 is not a downgrade at all. I actually prefer it more especially as a daily driver.
Exactly the reasons I bought a ZL1 over a Z06 and you can see by my username I love the Z06. The A10 over the A8 was a big contributing factor as well as the improved cooling in the ZL1. As manuals go, I've also heard most people hate the 7 speed vs the 6 speed in the ZL1.

I would have loved the 300lbs weight avantage in the Z06 but most people say the chassis doesn't handle the power nearly as well as the ZL1 making it unpredictable when pushed compared to the ZL1 which feels very predictable and stable.

For all these reasons, the I chose the A10 ZL1 over the Z06 and the ZL1 is a steal considering it performs just as well as the Z06 for at least $10-15K less. I took that 1$15K saved over the Z06 and dumped it back into the ZL1 in performance mods so now its an 800hp monster and still drives like stock until you floor it.
