That's how I gauge it. I'll wash it around the beginning of November and drive until the first salt hits the ground but that could be in 2 weeks or we have had snowless winters(although very rare ) in NJ. Usually, it's been December, January and February to worry about and March is a toss up. Glad she's in a garage though.

I am doing a coil pack relocation as well. With the luxury of renting a heated shop with a lift I am getting really tempted to yank the motor & go through the bottom end as well. It has 74k on the clock. Any thoughts, advice, or opinions are welcome! 416 has been on my mind lol.

Usually March will be the break out time but, then it might sit back in the garage while spring winter weather keeps popping up. Like you say, it’s a toss up.

I’m jealous of you guys out cruising… I’ve been missing blue a ton over the last 10 days. I keep him away from the house so I haven’t been able to do anything with him. I’m almost done with Covid, sooo damn ready to get back to normal life. Before anyone asks; our symptoms were all really really mild. Back to work on Monday. I’ve been messing with my 72 K20 all week because it’s at my house.

Mine has 80k and as soon as I did cam and heads it spun a crank bearing on the dyno so getting rebuilt now. I would go ahead do the bottom end too imo. Wish I had the money for a stroker because that’s the way to go, especially since we are always wanting more power.

6 months sheesh
My car has been in the shop for 6 weeks now and I’m going crazy lol. I live in New York and only time I don’t take her out is when it’s snowing. Once the roads are clean it comes back out till the next snow storm.

I hear that lol. I'm pretty close to you in Lockport. We can get hit hard by Lake Erie & Ontario. Sometimes by both in the same day. I can drive to work with dry roads & drive home in 2 feet of snow.

That’s so true lol. When I first got my car I would barely drive it to keep the miles down, but for the past year I told myself I bought it to enjoy it and that I do now I take it everywhere and go on 300 miles cruises. Like someone said a car is like a woman if you don’t put the miles on it some other guy will lol.
