Mustang dynos are heart breakers, but in the end it is just a number.

This may sound unorthodox, and certainly do clear up the specifics with Ted, but if the car feels like you're gonna s*** your pants when you floor it in second or third, that's all that matters

Per my previous post asking what gear your pulls were done in.

6th vs 7th gear numbers will be different, I would confirm this first.

Why would the dyno guy give you uncorrected numbers that are over a year apart? The whole point of the dyno is finding out what your changes did, so weather correction is needed. Did he tell you why he gave you an uncorrected sheet? Because the only valid reason to do so would be if his weather station is broken, but he should have told you if that was the case.

Start with that…I also was tuned on a mustang dyno. 95% of my tuning was done in 6th gear. Final pull was done in 7th gear to get my final number. Some shops don’t like taking there dynos to 180-200 mph spins. My car touches 198. I will post my sheets later, but there was definitely a difference in the 6 vs 7th gear pull.
4th gear. I have an M6

For reference my first round of mods were 9.1 lower pulley, 2" headers with no cats and Rotofab. Car was tuned by the shop that installed with 579whp on a dynojet. I was disappointed as well and felt the car idle and drive very strange. I took the car to MS tuning 5hrs away and on his Mustang Dyno and no changes it made 556whp. He then did the tune and it made 612whp.

Tuning is a real big deal!

I have since done remote tuning with Ted on last mod revision and I am very pleased with results.
Ted remote tuned the car. He has requested the logs of the run. I will get those today. The car idles as it always did, you know a little rough, but again, just like it did stock. It runs smooth and strong. I have a date with a Dynojet in two weeks.

On a Dynojet showing Corrected numbers, near sea level and with the JRE 125 kit on e60 you should have no problem making 625-650rwhp IMHO. The lower end of that if you are running e40-e50.

S*** - why, yes sir! Every time I let the dogs out they hunt like there is no tomorrow. And, when I have passengers, even the ones that claim "Badass big block pasts" grin like school boys looking at their first Playboy!

SAE corrected at 571 whp.

I have a date with a Dynojet on the 28th. I'm running e60 at 528' and it should be sub-70 degrees and dry at pull time. I'll post the results.

I sent Ted the logs and he is pleased.

But what was the stock baseline in SAE? You NEED that to know what your mods actually did for horsepower. Weather can vary, and with it, correction factors change.

I did not get the SAE numbers from the stock pull (did not know any better). From my limited experience, I should be able to figure out my gains from the upcoming Dynojet session. But, as I posted, Ted saw the pull sheet and logs and he is pleased.
