GASOLINE ADDITIVES

Hey guys, I am about to run my monthly tank of straight 92 after running E60 all of May.

What if any additive are you adding to the gas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think the manual says a tank of 92 octane every oil change interval and only to add chevron techron

What manual are you referring to? Is there a section in the GM manual that refers to E, and can't you just use Chevron 92 to get Techron?

I wouldn't add anything. Ethanol burns so clean it doesn't leave deposits so there's really no need to run any cleaner additive through the engine. I suppose there's an off chance the injectors could have a little build up but I doubt it.

Thanks I left out that important part, that’s the guidance in the manual from ecotec3 2014+ trucks with flexfuel

There is no evidence that my injectors require any attention. She's burning strong and clean. No additives for my girl. Thanks.

As I would expect. I wouldn't add anything. That's just another perk of running high ethanol content fuel, it's so clean.

I've started using a "splash" of Schaeffer's SoyUltra fuel additive, especially when wrapping up from track weekend, when the car tends to sit for a bit with the dry E85 in it between events.
