Talking What is the best car performance battery?

I would like to know what battery that will last long and could be rechargeable. The battery would be for a daily driver. And of course a battery that will fit in the wheel well. I did re-post this because I did not get enough replys.

Okay, what are the advantages of having a "performance" battery. Does a non-performance battery no last as long?

correct a "performance" battery lasts longer. A performance battery doesn't add and HP or MPH but lasts longer.

well, being i sell batteries for a living, optima is a damn good battery. If you dont want to put up the money for a Optima, Deka Batteries are probably the best quality battery in the US right now. I never get those back. But if you want a battery for the new camaro, go with the Optima since the battery is located in the trunk, if it will fit and is the correct group size. I dont know what group size the battery in the Camaro takes yet

I probably will buy a Optima battery. Can I get a discount from you since you sell batteries?

to be honest your battery is covered from AC-DELCO which is a descent battery for either 2 years i beleive, and it will be covered for three under bumper to bumper. So i wouldnt waste money on batter off the bat, its not going to add any power or anything. Another thing is yeah you pay more for performance battery and it last longer but buying a normal battery will last half the time lets say, so you end up buying two batteries instead, but in the end you pay the same. So I have never gotten into the battery thing

I've never had any luck with the stock batteries in my GM cars. My last one lasted 7 months before I had to replace it.

I only use Optima Red Tops now. Besides lasting longer they seem to hold up better at the end of their life cycle. My last two I had to replace were performing noticably less towards the end of the life, but always started the car and never left me stranded.

With my GM batteries there was never any warning and when they were ready to go, poof that was it.

Ok, I've allways just bought a mid line fairly inexpensive battery. Here in Alabama, not alot of cold to mess with. I've never had a battery last me less than 5 years. Is this too short of a time?
