Talking What is the best car performance battery?

I would like to know what battery that will last long and could be rechargeable. The battery would be for a daily driver. And of course a battery that will fit in the wheel well.

Optima's, Odyssey's come to mind. There are many others.

As stated above, there will be lots of opinions.

i don't understand getting a perfomance battery for anything other then weight and extreme car stereos. Can anyone tell me why I would need to put a perfomance battery in my car?

Im not trying to be an @55 I just honestly don't know.

Yes kdoske a battery does not increase HP or MPH I just wanted to know what battery will last the longest. I would put a performance battery in because I hate a battery that runs out quickly. Aad like I stated this battery will be for a daily driven camaro so I need a long lasting battery because I start, drive my car alot.

Don't know but, no matter what you get, a simple battery trickle charger might effectively double it's life.

Find the heaviest battery that will fit in the space of your car and it will last the longest! Heavier means there is more plate material inside each cell which will take longer for the acid to eat thru and therefore the battery will last longer. However... the amp draw, heat (Like in AZ during the summer) and amp rating of the battery will play a factor in it's life!

I've heard so much good and not so good things about the OPTIMA RED TOP batteries. I think I will go with them then.

I work at Batteries Plus and the ODYSSEY are the best batteries on the market. There are the only MIL-SPEC battery on the market and also the only one to use 99.99% virgin lead. I have a HEPPC1500DT that has over 1150CCA. Your Red Top Optima only has around 850CCA or so and will never last as long as a ODYSSEY. Also, ODYSSEY auto batteries come with a 4 year free replacement warranty. Stop by your nearest Batteries Plus to pick one up.

Also Optima yellow tops have the same internals as blue tops. The only difference is the warranty, and the posts. Blue tops come with Marine screw posts and SAE posts while Yellow Tops come with either SAE or screw tops. See above post for cred's.
