Can I plug in my iPod to a 1SS?
I want to know if I could connect my music library from my iPhone, or iPod.
I ordered a 1SS. |

nope. it comes with the C&C package. which is standard on the 2LT and 2SS. Optional on the 1LT, but for some reason not an option on the 1SS

Sure, just use the AUX jack instead. You won't be able to use the Camaro's radio to scroll through songs but you can still control playback through your iphone or ipod.

that is true. you just cant use the dashboard controls to go through your ipod library. you just have to use the actual ipod.

I'm not sure how well it will work without the rest of the C+C package, but you can order the PDIM Personal Device Interface Module (PN 92213212) from GM. I think it just has the USB port, but I think I read somewhere you can use the radio to control it, and it will display the song info.

I haven't seen any instructions or installs yet, my guess is that is will be similar to several aftermarket Ipod hookup devices where it plugs into the back of the Head Unit in a CD changer port. Usually requires you to remove the HU and route the cables to the where you want them.
If someone that has the car would start pulling stuff apart to see whats on the back of the HU I think it would anwser a lot. I really would like to know about pre amp outputs. |

Getting the radio out is not that easy. I guess im used to the silverado where you take off 1 trim piece and remove 3 bolts and it falls into your lap. Its not the most involved radio i've ever done, but if you arent technical, i wouldnt run the risk of damaging your interior parts. Pay the dealership
