I updated the chart with the confusing 12.6" / 321x30 compatible Brembos. From my understanding, LT 1LE cars received 4-Piston Brembos as a part of the 1LE package but they were smaller than SS Brembos and fit the LT 12.6" / 321x30 rotor instead. I'm unsure if the late model LT 1LE cars followed suit or switched to the SS 4-Piston Brembo but this was when the 1LE package was released. Most likely the LT 1LE trims have been using 12.6" / 321x30mm since 2017 and the LT1 inherited them

For LT1, both PowerStop and RockAuto list 12.6" / 321x30mm as the only size for LT1 front rotors.

Probably a dumb question, but can I put the SS 13.6 on my LS 1LE? My mechanic has been saying he thinks the 12.6 is too small for the 4 piston brembos

If you already have a LT 1LE then it already has 4 Piston Brembo’s at the 12.6”

Imo it’s useless to change everything to just get an extra inch with the same number of pistons

Confusing: In 2018 I got a stock LT1, bought the
- "Brembo® Performance Front Brake Package," part # 23245470, described as "features Brembo® four-piston aluminum calipers with ... 13.6-inch x 1.2-inch (345mm x 30mm) vented and slotted Duralife™ rotors – the same size as the Camaro SS!"
- my RF Caliper's label reads: "20C044BC, J55 RF RED, 8/7/15 1"
- my LH Rotor: GM # 23245483.
However, GMpartsnow.com list's 2018 SS Brake L Rotor part# as 13511494.
----- I now want to replace my pads with (xs dust), and discs (I have vibration on applying brakes). PowerStop was recommended. They have 2 choices for my front brakes, one for "SS" = Part# Z26-1474A. Another for "LT w. 4 piston calipers" = Part# K7001-26.
- When I called for help in choosing, I was told to get the Pad part#. Of course, the GM kit lists all part#'s except the Pads, which came installed in the Calipers.

I was looking through this trying to find out what I have on mine..
I have been trying to get front rotors and pads for my new to me ride, a 2017 50th Anniversary 2SS.
It of course has the Brembo brakes, painted orange.
I call the local parts stores and they all ask the same question "do you have the red painted calipers?"
I respond no, but mine are orange.. why?
I assume the "red" ones are maybe for the red line edition? or possibly ZL1?
Would I be correct in assuming mine are the 345mm on the front?
Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate any response. It appears as my assumption is correct, but getting an answer on a google search is proving near impossible.

From my current understanding and what the chart has, the LT1 does not share the SS 4-Piston caliper. Rather sharing the LT 1LE caliper, it’s been a while so I’m not 100% sure, sorry

I believe the regular SS calipers are grey and only red when outfitted with 6-Piston or a specific package as in your case. I’d agree with the 345mm fronts for you.

For the both of you though, to confirm you can get your RPO codes from either the sticker in the trunk or the QR code on the door jam. Them find whatever brake RPO code you have and match to this chart for a definitive answer

Thank you for the reply! I went out and measured my front rotors just to be sure, and it does appear they 345mm (15.28 whatever inch) was the correct sizing. It's insane the amount of choices for some rotors and pads that there are for our cars. lol

I went with PowerStop Drilled and Slotted with the Z23 Carbon Fiber ceramic pads. Seemed the best bang for the buck and for performance without spending a grand on components.

Unless one is fine with the power of the brakes, but is looking for some added thermal capacity. Piston size is going to dictate brake power and feel more over rotor diameter, but larger rotors (thickness or diameter) will help brake temps.

That’s true, I should rephrase as the benefits are there but for daily driving probably not too much benefit. For the track though definitely would make a difference I’d imagine

Great info - but I think the LT1 info needs to by modified/updated for some model years:

I think this could have been true for years when the LT 1LE package and LT1 were available, but when LT 1LE package was dropped in 2022 then I think they just gave the LT1 the same front 4 piston brembo calipers and larger 13.6 rotor size (rather than continue to make smaller ones just for LT1).
For evidence of this:
* Visually the front rotors on my 2023 LT1 look significantly bigger (~1 inch?) than just a 0.2 inch increase from the rear rotors if 12.6" was correct
* Makes sense for Chevy to have them share the exact front brake caliper and matching rotor from SS once there was no LT 1LE to share with
* Chevy parts web site says the front rotor that fits 2023 LT1 is: https://parts.chevrolet.com/product/...dyNumDoorsId=7
that is 345mm/13.58 inch.
Maybe some other 2022 or later LT1 owners can confirm this?

If they did switch then I feel like they should’ve created a new RPO code since the LT1 still uses the same electronic parking brake system. If a dealer had to replace rear pads and put J6G then they’d get wrong size pads. Only way I could see this being circumvented is by them sticking with J55 or making a new RPO code altogether
