Because I've tested it a number of times in all different modes with and without traction control on nothing makes a difference. As soon as I clutch in at around 6000 rpms with the pedal to floor the rpms climb to redline.

I don't understand all this NLS equipment... Put it to the floor and don't lift it's that easy. If you can shift it fast enough and just tap the clutch enough. Mine never hits any type of limiter. If you can hear the limiter you're not shifting fast enough.

If your front end drops between shifts you're not shifting fast enough

yea sure anyone can do that but with nls available it should unload the engine momentarily which is much easier on the drivetrain. It was more beneficial in my turbo vette because i wouldn't lose boost pressure between gears and shifts were smooth almost couldnt feel them. NLS only killed power for milliseconds.

I use NLS literally every day on the way home from work. The RPMs drop and the exhaust farts as I hold full throttle during the shift.

Traction on or off, sport mode, touring or track, doesn't matter. https://www.instagram.com/p/BWptxfNh...aken-by=ss_1le

Guess I shift fast enough to not even notice. I'll try and get a video uploaded.

There are a couple threads on this so I guess I'll post in both. I took a video a few minutes ago of my 17 1SS (non-1LE) attempting NLS. The video doesn't illustrate how violent the shift is, but you can see how the RPMs do not drop at all until I release the clutch. It bounces off of the rev limiter even.

Right, and it's not supposed to bounce. I did not see a violent bounce and that was a quick shift but you did hit the redline. It's supposed to allow RPM to drop slightly while foot is still to the floor to avoid drivetrain shock correct?

Turn up the sound. It wasn't that quick of a shift. I paused briefly to show that it's not working. I pushed in the clutch and shifted right at (maybe just over) 6k rpm.

I just ran a test on my 2017 2SS M6, here's the video.

It is clear that RPMs INCREASE to a 6400RPM limiter, whereas the 1LE DECREASES in preparation for the next gear (see this thread http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=503081).

If I were one of the engineers designing NLS, I would design it to work exactly like the 1LE video in order to reduce drive train shock. Having said that, I think I'm hitting the limiter

Thanks exactly how mine behaves during a no lift shift, hence the question in the "Ask Al" section:

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508429

I'm hoping we can get an answer on exactly how the feature was designed to work straight from the source!

They both have NLS. Try NLS in a manual car without it, the revs instantly jump and bounce off the rev limiter, while the Camaro continues to slowly build as if its in gear.

The 1LE drops RPM in prep for a gear change, so more advanced tuning is at work there, but they BOTH have NLS.

Curious. I'm gonna try mine again next time I get her out. I think my RPMs held steady while the clutch was in.
