Thank you very much! I had an 00 pewter V6 that looked very similar to yours. Like the addition of the front facia insert. You ever think about adding some clear corners (turn signals) on there? I think that would look really cool.

Well since there was some curiousity about it, that big vertical thing in front of the grille actually folds down to the horizontal position. It sticks out about 6 or so feet in front of the truck. You can't really see it, but on the end is a box with two glow plugs wired up inside it, so the whole box heats up. Well you might ask, "doesn't that just add a bunch of heat to the engine?". Yes it does, but what that box does is simulate the heat of the engine. Insurgents nowadays, due to our electronic jamming devices, are using infrared triggers to their IEDs(improvised explosive devices) or even worse, their EFPs(explosive formed penetrators/projectiles which blow a baseball sized chunk of molten copper through just about any armor, including the 700LB doors on my truck). Basically the thing on the front of the truck, called a rhino, is meant to detonate the explosives early, which in the event of an EFP, will blow through the engine of the truck instead of the cab, saving soldiers lives. Personally I'm not sure how well it works at 55-60 MPH(it has been battle proven to work at lower speeds), and it puts a hell of a drain on the batteries(a HMMWV has two), but we have to have it and anything made to help us stay alive is always welcome.

I drive a Ford Ranger. I know, I know...shoot me. I won't post it here for obvious reasons.=) But my wife has a silver Chevy HHR. I'll try to post some pics of it soon.

Given my choice I'd rather be riding in a Marine LAV then a hummer. I know you don't get to choose. Keep safe and use what ever you can get your hands on. We used sand bags generations ago but we also had Jeeps!

I actually have considered the clear corner lenses for the front and some for the rear sides too. I have always wanted some of the halo headlights, but I didn't want to look too much like I'm trying to have a V8 (I hate V6's that try to look fast, because they aren't!)

You may have inspired me to finally get some of the lenses, though!

lol pewter has always stood out to me, not sure why. My grandpa loves black cars and my mom loves red cars. It makes me so mad when people try to say that Silver and Pewter are the same thing... Gah!!
