As long as Frank Reich is the OC and has any input in keeping or letting Foles go, I`m going to guess that the Eagles keep Foles. If anyone knows the value of a competent back-up QB it would be Reich and his years of backing up Jim Kelly, you don`t let a proven QB who knows the system go and then have to find and break in another back-up and hope he does as well as Foles has proved.

I'm not sure they are Idiots - it's just the Trend with QB Salaries - Cousins should break the bank, not that he deserves it.

Kind of hard to pass up a first or a few 2nd's for a backup qb. Only time will tell I guess.

I understand QB's prices are going up, but this is a QB with 7 starts. Granted I know he's been good, but the sample size is still way too small. Another one, where we'll have to wait and see if he's worth it.

That was awesome. I was working in my office in the other room from the TV. I thought that was randy Macho Man Savage at first.

It'll be interesting to see what Pete Carroll does with much of the old coaching staff gone now. Not sure how many of our superstars will be back next year as well.

Getting rid of foles would be the dumbest thing in history for the eagles. You just proved the value of having a legit backup QB, which was the leading reason why the team didn't miss a beat in the playoffs. Wentz isn't even healthy and won't be until week 1-3. So what sense does it make to trade away your super bowl winning qb when the guy he replaced isn't even healthy? What backup QB that is available could come in right now and do what foles did????

If I was Foles, I would retire. Go out on top. How do you go back to being a bench warmer after winning the superbowl? I couldnt. Im happy for him and the coach everythough I not an eagles fan.

If memory serves me right, he's only 26. He's getting 7 mil as a backup. Personally I wouldn't be a backup after what he just did. He deserves the right at minimum 5o compete for the starting job. If they're unwilling to do that, then I'd want out.

It would be hard to sit the bench after doing what he did, but maybe that would be the smart thing. That's a nice income to sit.

I get you, but what would you have the 49ers do? They Traded for him, he was about to be Free Agent, he played well. They couldn't go back to Blaine Gabbert!

He deserves to be a starter somewhere else, because he won't be in philly. Wentz is their guy. Sure, Philly could force him to stay one more year because he's under contract, but if they can get great value for him, then they should.

Edit: also, 7mil a year for a backup is great. How much do you think he could get as a starter somewhere else? He deserves starter money, and he won't get that in Philly, unless Wentz career is over.

How about pay him NOT more than any player in NFL history? lol instead of 27.5 million a year, you don't think he'd accept maybe 20Mil a year, with maybe some incentive for reaching the playoffs/super bowl?
