Alright, fair enough.

The LT4, not so much.
I agree.

At 3:23 in this video there is a 1LE followed by a Z/28 going around the same stretch of track. There is not much difference in sound to me.

Going by these Nurburgring videos it is definitely not an LT4. The ZL1 is noticeably louder.

In my opinion it is a modified LT1..

IMO, this is basically a Z07 like package for the ZL1.

I think that the sound that the LT4 in the ZL1 makes while powering out of the carousel is very distinctive and
that the winged car we are calling a z/28, makes the same glorious noise.

This is probably the most likely answer, which is pretty sad.

Between the tires, areo and CCB's I'd say such a package could substantially improve the lap times, and I suspect the base ZL1 will be no slouch. I'm talking 991 GT3 RS territory for this winged version.

I'm not saying it will be a slouch but reducing the Z/28 to, effectively, an options package would be a waste of such an iconic badge.

So far, it's just us calling it a Z/28, Al O implied that it may not get that name if it uses the LT4 IMO.

Yup, we have to be careful about getting wound up about something that might not even be happening.

Wait for it to happen then unleash the fury of internet commenting

Yeah, we are all assuming it's the Z/28. Given the aero, tires and brakes, its a good guess. The key part is what's under the hood.

But this is the internet. I want to be angry about stuff that might not even happen.
