Tsp sells a set that are plug n play, you can get some universals from Magnaflow, flowmaster, eastern catalytic, or find a local shop that does high performance exhaust as they’ll likely have some on hand. Universals will need to be welded in

1. Lots of rasp and loud. I’ve done this and while it sounds good, I got tired of the smell and rasp
2. I’ve got 100 cell cats and it’s perfect. Less rasp and smell, but still loud
3. 3” catback with magnaflow mufflers. Sounds great, some drone on hills

If you want quiet while cruising look at Solo w/ j pipes, oem mufflers, oem NPP mufflers, Corsa, Borla atak, some magnaflows and I’m sure I’ve missed a few others. But those will be the most drone free exhausts

No cats 2.5 borla atak. No drone, drives like a gentlemen while your foot is out of it. Loud as **** at WOT especially under boost.

SE longtubes with no cats. Corsa extreme, sounds amazing but there is a little rasp at a certain rpm. Quickly goes away and it screams like no other at WOT. Currently installing the gpi max kit so curious how loud its gonna be when I'm done. May have to throw some hfc on it

HFC won’t do much. I tried that to quiet down a Corsa extreme and all it did was remove some rasp. Volume was about the same

Dynomax bullets fit after the x pipe like a glove. Corsa also has some round mufflers that will fit in the same place

Great info....i appreciate the good stuff u guys post...ill be ordering s.e. lts...just deciding whether to use no cat pipes or hf cats...i have a jba catback so...once connected i may or may not switch the catback exhaust depending on sound....

So u guys are basically saying s.e. long tubes and catless pipes will sound really loud cruising? Loud dont bother me at all when accelerating etc , i want just much lower sound when on cruise control....other than that im showing out lol

Any videos of s.e. long tubes and no cats vs w/hf cats?

Mine is not loud when cruising, only under acceleration. You might want the cats if you don't want exhaust smell. I didn't want to do cats because i didn't want to worry about melting them down but i do get more exhaust smell.

on catback exhaust systems the obvious size is 2.5 inch right? 3 inch catbacks are too big or not? Any problems using 3 inch catback? Any difference?

The smell isn't bad but i can smell like car sometimes. 3" isn't really need unless you are heavily modded. If i end up going towards the 800whp level i would probably change over to 3" and might go with 2" longtubes.

It can get very stinky (depending on your tune), mine is. Especially in drive throughs. A Burger King cashier once told me 'Man I love that smell. It smells like power'

It really comes down to whether or not you (or your significant other) likes that smell. Personally, I love it. But it will also linger on your clothes, especially if it gets cold out. I could not give two Shi*s if strangers don't like it though.

Thanks for the heads up. May have to do that when I'm done. Guessing the increase in compression and massive am isnt gonna quiet it down lol
