1st Glimpse: 2015 Spring Special Camaro, sporting Emerald Green Metallic paint

Seen that color on a Corvette at Corvette training. I am on the fence about it. I would have a hard time ordering dark green over all the other beautiful colors. GM is doing it right by making this an exclusive special edition, instead of a regular color for years to come. Now synergy green on the other hand? If they are going to offer that color on the damn Sonic, I really think that it should have been a color for the Camaro every year!

Are you sure that's the same color? Are the paint codes the same? Because the name is different. Lime rock green is the corvette.

Its a great way for us here in Oshawa to close out 5thGen production before we hand the torch to Lansing . We always look forward to new colors and options on these types of special editions . I'm sure it will be another homerun for Team Camaro !

GM code WA177B - green
This green automotive paint color is most commonly known as Emerald Green. The color formulation has been used between 1995 and 2000, primarily by GM. We have records of this color appearing on the following models: Chevy Truck, Oldsmobile, and Chevrolet. See the full detailed list below.

GM paint manufacturing codes come in two forms, the short 1 to 3 digit model/year code which changes frequently; and beginning in the 1960's a longer 4 digit code which starts with the letters "WA" or "WE". Sometimes called "Fisher Paint codes"; codes beginning with WA are production paints, WE are commercial or special order paints with codes typically starting with '5' (i.e. WE5xxx). Starting in 1994, GM began using a letter as the last digit for all new WA paint codes.

Re: the front end - It's both nice to see the OEM copy the aftermarket (like ACS), yet kind of a let down for those of us that bought the aftermarket parts (like ACS). It's similar to the fact that I bought a black 2010 SS back in 2010, and then fast forward 4 years and now my freakin' neighbor has one, a coworker has one, as well as every 3rd 5th gen I come across on the way into work :( Maybe it's time for a wrap.
