No more blowers for the 13 COPO!!!

http://www.autoblog.com/2013/03/07/2...es-and-manual/

Just came across this on another site does anyone else have any insight on if these will be the "only" engines? How could Chevy go all motor and let ford run away with turbos? Do they not want to race in the same class anymore?

Your point? Chevy has also but that article says that they will only offer 3 n/a engines and no blower combos.

I prefer N/A engines anyways. Cool to see a manual transmission is offered too.

I think the new options are sweet I just don't get why they would cut out the blowers.

The 4.0 Whipple COPO's had a nightmare of a time.

They get about 2 to 6 passes and the Head gaskets need to be replaced. (Due to them sending out 4 bolt heads on the motors. (THIS IS "IMO")

The good news for them is, a set of 6 bolt heads has been approved by NHRA. At this point the problem should be fixed.
